Diving Overview
Romsey SAC is a BSAC diving club that welcomes new and old members, qualified or non-qualified divers who wish to participate in scuba diving. Romsey SAC is a collection of individuals that come together on a Tuesday for fitness, scuba training and to generally socialise. We typically dive at weekends and on holidays aboard.

Pool Sessions
Please support the pool sessions. Meet in the car park at 7.25pm to move to the pool as a group.
Romsey Stream Clean - 31st Mar 12
Eric has been approached by the Romsey Society who do an annual Stream Clean in Romsey area. We can join them perhaps helping in some of the more difficult areas. They have the organisation sorted with council help with disposal etc. We need volunteers for that day who are prepared to enter the water and do some consersation work for our watery environment. Also hoping that by doing this valuable work we might also gain some publicity for the club. Please put your name forward to Eric and diary the date.
Dive Trip - Skomer (Apr/May 12)
John Rowley has offered to organise a trip if there is enough interest. Please let John know whether you would like to go - the club has not been to this area of Wales for many years. Additionally Skomer has a good diving reputation so please express your interest to make this trip viable.
Lyme Bay - 5th-7th May
Eric is willing to co-ordinate the annual camping and drinking trip. We might also go diving but don't rely on the weather! It must be our turn to get good seas this year!! Contact Eric if interested.
Dive Trip - Oban (1st - 8th Jun 12)
Paul Shill is organizing a diving trip to Puffin Dive Centre in Oban if there is enough interest. The proposed date is Friday June 1 to Friday 8 June, this includes the double days of the bank holiday. If we can get 10 people then we can fill the town house, this will cost £ 129.50 per person.
We would be diving from our own boats, with the possibility of a further rib joining us for some of the time.
Total cost would involve petrol to and from Oban, boat petrol and food. Journey time is approx 10 hrs.
Diving from Oban is very good, with clear waters plenty of sea life and many wrecks.
Please let Paul know if you are interested so he can start further planning.
RSAC 30th Anniversary - 23rd June
BSAC has sent a certificate to celebrate our 30 years of existence. We should plan a celebration of some sort and have a suggested date of 23rd June. What do you want?? Barby (Home, beach, forest), dance, walk and pub?? Ideas please to your committee and diary the date because we will do something.
RSAC Christmas Dinner - 6th Jan 12
Thanks to Julia for organising the evening. Those that attended enjoyed the buffet meal followed by the 2011 diver awards and the raffle. See article from Romsey Advertiser.
