Diving Overview
RomseySAC is a BSAC diving club that welcomes new and old members, qualified or non-qualified divers who wish to participate in scuba diving. RomseySAC is a collection of individuals the come together on a Tuesday for fitness, scuba training and to generally socialise. We typically dive at weekends and on holidays aboard.

Rupert W joined the club last Tuesday. Please extend a warm welcome to Rupert when you next see him.
Stanbridge Earls School Pool
Last week the school showed us damage to the pool floor caused by some object or objects unknown being dragged along the bottom from the shallow end towards the deep end. The damage was not caused by dive kit but we should always report any damage we find when we use the pool.

Replacement DO
Clare H and Eric B have agreed to take over the role in a joint capacity for the rest of the dive season. Please support them in their role.

Portland Diving - 20th June
Colin F is organising some RiB diving out of Portland on Saturday 20th June. So far there are only 4 names down to go so places are still available.
Porthkerris Diving - 11/12th July
8 members have so far paid to go on the Porthkerris Diving weekend. The dives are now paid for and the camping beach site places are provisionally booked. Anyone else who now wishes to go should book there place directly with Porthkerris Divers.
Swanage Diving - 7th June
Congratulation to the hardy souls who went to a sometimes wet and blustery Swanage on the 7th June to either instruct or be trained. Visibility around the pier was not great but training was achieved and everyone there came back with stories to tell.
Vobster Quarry Diving - 16th May
Despite inclement weather an intrepid band of members made the trip to Vobster. Trainees completed the necessary modules with the assistance of the instructors (led by Diana).
Dive Kit
The club has been given some dive kit including a BCD, regulators, console and weights. Thanks to Paul B of Winchester for supporting the club.
Stanbridge Earls School Pool
Remember to make good use of the pool at Stanbridge Earls School on Tuesday evenings (19.30 - 21.00). Please try to meet in the car park at the entrance to the school by 19.30 to be guided to the pool area. There are rules covering it's usage that members, guests and visitors must respect. Please read the rules on the web-site. Please make dates in your diary and support your club.
Membership 2009
Members paying by installments from the common renewal date of 1 Feb 09 should of paid the majority of their fees by now (unless prior arrangements were made). For those this applies to please arrange to pay your outstanding fees without delay.
Plymouth September 5/6th 2009
Eric has organized a diving weekend to Plymouth. Eric has booked the dive boat Cee King and now needs to collect deposits from interested members. Dives expected to be 20 - 30M range.
