RomseySAC Equipment
Resources
The club equipment falls within two main categories, diving equipment and boating equipment. Over the past few years RomseySAC has increased the amount of diving equipment from two scuba set to six. This allows the financial barriers for people starting off in scuba diving to be reduced. Also, through careful planning and budgeting, in early 2008, RomseySAC has completed the renewal of the boating equipment, including: hull, engine, and electronics.
This means that the club assets are in prime condition and we are able to progress with diving actively as a club for the next 5 to 10 years when the assets will need renewing again. Through careful accounting, RomseySAC is planning to self fund this renewal process in the future.
Funding
RomseySAC is a non-profit making club, in fact in 2007 RomseySAC made £300 pounds surplus to our funds. All of our activities are based upon volunteerism, from the accountant, the equipment officers and instructors. Therefore, most of our money each year is spent on club equipment that falls within the following categories:
- depreciation
- maintenance
- insurance
- pool hire
Our sources of finance has been from the membership through subscriptions and lottery funding. RomseySAC has transformed itself over that past few years in terms of accounting. The club is now on a steady financial footing making plans for the future while achieving its annual maintenance and insurance responsibilities
